In a bid to cut down on air pollution and curb food waste, some companies are using aluminum cleaners and carpet cleaners together to make carpet and flooring cleaner.
In a recent article published by The Wall St Journal, one of those companies, AirGem, said that the process of combining the two cleaning products will reduce carbon emissions by up to 60 percent.
The article states that AirGems carpet cleaner uses about 60 percent less energy than a similar cleaner, and that its cleaner has been proven to have less of a scent.
According to the company, the process can be repeated over a two-week period, allowing the cleaning products to be reused.
AirGema also says that it has a low-cost carbon-free solution for carpets and floorings, which can be used in many places around the world.
The company said that it is testing its carbon-neutral carpet cleaner on carpets in China and Japan.
